Your interest in photography has led you to the Sweetbriar Photo Club’s website. We created this site, so you can learn more about us. You’ll find information about our meetings, events, membership, and samples of our work.  

We are a friendly and informal group of avid photographers, ranging from beginner to experienced. The club meets at the beautiful Sweetbriar Nature Center on Long Island’s North Shore, in Smithtown, NY, and online via Zoom.

Our club enjoys educational activities, guest speakers, occasional weekend field trips, photo critiques, and more. The club is a member of PSA (Photographic Society of America).  Our members can participate in PSA’s monthly judging.

We feel that learning from one another is key to advancing our photographic skills. We each have our unique way of viewing the world around us.  As such, each member brings their individual vision into the club. 

Whether you’re new to Photography and looking to join a club to help you get started, or advanced and would like to share your experience, and meet people with similar interests, you’ll be welcomed into our club.
